The student council meeting today was led by the leader of the student council, Helge. Kjersti is in London, and did not come to the meeting. Kjersti is back next week.

This was the different cases and "happenings" that were discussed in the student council (KSC) today:

1: KISLO were supposed to have a cake sale this week, but since KISLO only have 3 members, the cake sale will be organized by the KSC.
Everyone will bring something, and the list of who is bringing what is attached to this e-mail. We made posters during the meeting, and these are already on the walls.
The cake sale will be held friday 22nd of October. Remember to bring money :-)

2: "Crazy days". Should we have any "crazy days" this year? If yes, who will organize this?
This year, we will have a combined pink/glam-day, a freaky friday, as well as an "emo-day". Signe and Guri Kristine will arrange these three days. We hope to hear from more from Signe and Guri Kristine about this next meeting!

3: School prom and christmas party
MYP would like to have a school prom this year as well, and since none of the D-students this year have chosen this as their personal project, this will be the KSC's responsability to arrange this year. I (Torbjørn) will try to arrange a prom this year, but I would appreciate to have one or two other MYP students that could help me arranging the prom. I am sure that it will be very exciting to arrange the school prom this year - as well as it will count as community and service:-) If you would like to help me arranging the prom this year, please send me a mail to torbjorn.bergen@hotmail.no, or find me at school.

4: Ski-day. What will a ski--day cost, and how will it be arranged?
Aurora will find out what it will cost to arrange a ski-day, and look at how it can be arranged. The student council has decided that for economic reasons, the ski-day is only for the MYP. We will hear more from Aurora about this next week.

5: From last week: KISLO were supposed to make a poster outside the libary.
KISLO have not done this yet. The leader of the student council have set a deadline next tuesday. We will come back to this next week.

6: From last week: Gunhild were supposed to make a poster for the traffic patrol and hang it up in the red building and in the libary with help from mr. Gregory.
The poster has not been made yet. The deadline set by the student council is next tuesday, and we will come back to this next week as well.

7: From last week: Some students were supposed to send a letter to the diploma regarding help with homework.
The students that were supposed to send this letter is now on a class-trip to London, so we will check this next week instead.

8: From last week: OpenOffice-support on electronic documents.
OpenOffice is now on the servers, so teachers can download and use it on their computers.
MICROSOFT OFFICE ENTERPRISE 2007 WILL VERY SOON BE FREELY AVAILABLE FOR ALL STUDENTS. I hope to get back to you all with more information about this next week.

9: From last week: Helge have sent a letter to principal, applying for the whole MYP going out in lunch, not only the MYPD.
This were supposed to be discussed in the meeting yesterday, but since Hege is in London, this has been delayed to next week.
Hopefully will you all read more about this in the next weekly update.

The next student council meeting is tuesday 26th of October. You will all receive a new weekly update then.
