Good evening everybody!
My name is Torbjørn Bergen from MYPD, and I will reference the student council meeting this year.
Every week I will mail you a copy of the minutes from the meeting with information about what we did during the meeting, and what decisions we made.
Underneath you will find the minutes from the meeting today.

The meeting started at 11:50.
Ms. Weeden started the meeting by informing about cake sales, representative person for the board, as well as giving general information about the student council.
She also gave information about that we need different groups in the student council; one for KISLO (Kongsberg International School Libary Organization), one group taking care of the road duty, and one group taking care of economy.
Rasmus, Anne, Ilka and Laura volunteered to be the KISLO-group, and Gunhild volunteered to take care of the road duty / traffic patrol for this year.
No one volunteered for the economy group. Please let ms. Weeden know if you could take care of economy:) All this work is counted as community and service.
Ms. Weeden also brought up the small hill in the playground. After a discussion in the student council, the council have decided to remove this, and make a bigger football court.
The student council will make sure that there will be made a hill of snow in the winter for the PYP students to have fun with, and find alternate solutions for the PYP students in the playground.
The stundent council leader, Helge, presented some ideas for arrangements during the year, since the arrangements now will come from the student council.
Ideas for happenings were halloween party for MYP, house days, ski day, sports day, prom for MYP, some kind of prom for PYP, and theme days, such as pink day.
No final decisions were made, but we will bring these ideas back in later meetings.
Isabella presented her idea about a mailbox for suggestions to be sent to the student council. We will discuss this in the next meeting.
We also went through some suggestions from the 5th grade. None of these suggestions were taken further.
Last, we discussed wether the whole MYP should be allowed to leave school in lunch, or if only MYPD (as it is today) should be allowed for this.
A lot of member supported this, and we will discuss this in the next meeting as well.
The meeting was set as final at 12:20.
